Canadian Subatomic Physics Long Range Plan 2027-2034

The committee for the coming Long Range Plan (2027-2034) is currently being assembled. The tentative timeline for the development of the plan is the following:

April 2025: IPP brief get collected, deadline of May 12 2025

April 8 2025: co-chairs get announced to the community. 

June 2025: virtual town-hall of the IPP to discuss the IPP brief to the LRP committee. 

June 12 2025: CINP and IPP joint session at the CAP congress. Full LRPC committee is announced and co-chairs present the timeline and process. 

September 2025: First draft of the IPP brief is released for comment. 

September 2025: Second IPP virtual Town Hall, followed by a second release of the IPP brief for comment

November 2025: IPP submits its brief to the LRPC

April 2026: tentative LRP Town Hall 

August 2026: LRP first draft is released, second LRP Town Hall event

September 2026: Final version of the LRP is released

The full committee composition will be announced at the CAP congress in Saskatoon at the joint CINP/IPP session. The co-chairs are Alison Lister (UBC) and Paul Garrett (Guelph).
